Hario V60 Immersion straining and brewing method is very easy to use. I will talk about the advantages that this brewing method will give you. After adding the water to the upper chamber (dripper), the brewing process is completed with one click. Thanks to its design, you will catch similar brewing parameters every time, and you will be able to catch the unique taste you get in every brew.
The set, which has a capacity of 200 milliliters, weighs 500 grams in total. All parts made of stainless steel and heat-resistant glass can be easily removed. This provides great convenience for the cleaning phase.
Consistent Intense Taste is the Truth
Thanks to the Hario V60 Immersion brewing method, higher extraction is achieved between three and five percent. So what does this mean? I'm explaining right now.
Extraction is the name given to the aroma of ground coffee beans. Under-extraction results in a sour taste, and over-extraction results in bitter tastes. By closing the switch in the mechanism during brewing, you will save coffee and have the chance to catch more intense flavors.
Feel free to experiment, but we recommend using 260 grams of water (at 93 degrees Celsius) to 15.5 grams of coffee. Brewing parameters may vary depending on the coffee you use. Don't worry, we are one DM away for all your questions. Do not hesitate to contact us.
Advantages:
- “Channeling”, that is, the possibility of channeling is reduced. The probability of the coffee in the filter not being properly dispersed is lower in this brewing method.
- Ground coffees are evenly wetted, so the same flavor is obtained in every brew.
- Even during the brewing of the ground coffee, carbon dioxide and other gases in contact with water are released, providing perfect brewing.
Since the set is generally suitable for domestic use, we can say that it is not ideal for travels as the only disadvantage. Not ideal doesn't mean it isn't possible. Maybe you are the chosen one.
How is it brewed?
- Turn off the switch to brew your coffee with the immersion method.
- Mix the water you add to the coffee during the brewing phase. It's called Rao Spin; let's be cultured.
- Turn on the switch to complete the brewing process (the straining phase).
- Add water at recommended intervals according to the amount of coffee/water and wait for it to flow until the last drop. It's that simple.
